Since its birth more than 35 years ago, Swedish automobile manufacturer Koenigsegg has created the ultimate in performance cars. Its latest offering is the Koenigsegg Gemera, a plug-in hybrid Grand Tourer (GT) and the fir four-seater car built by the company. The GT powered by a compact engine weighs less than 155 pounds; that is so small because it is a Camless piston engine, the first of such kind used in a production car. A hybrid vehicle, the Koenigsegg Gemera also has three electric motors.
The Gemera’s architecture boasts a robust structure that takes inspiration from early Koenigsegg designs. However, it’s a complete surprise when the door reveals a unique four-seater space that offers equal ease of access for front and rear passengers. The Gemera maintains recognizable Koenigsegg traits such as the wrap-around jet fighter-inspired windshield, the hidden A-pillars, short overhands, and the large side air intakes.
Koenigsegg Gemera is priced at $1,700,000.
