Decq designed the layout of the Duplex home so that the bedrooms and living rooms are awash in natural light and provide spectacular views. Upon entering the home residents are greeted by floor-to-ceiling windows that give way to the spacious private terraces, accentuating the idea of indoor-outdoor living. The interiors of the home are finished in white matte and feature high-quality bamboo timber flooring throughout. Each of the bedrooms features stunning views and quality finishes that satisfy the highest of international standards.
The fitted kitchen features a solid surface kitchen island custom designed by Decq. The kitchen also includes a Dornbracht steel sink and Miele appliances. The four bathrooms and ensuites all feature natural marble and include Decq-designed solid surface single and double sinks and vanities with integrated drawers, full-width mirror to vanity and recessed LED lighting and wall-mounted Dornbracht lever mixer taps in polished chrome. The primary bedroom features a solid surface bath with a free-standing Dornbracht single-lever tub mixer. The floor-level walk-in shower includes a gradient tempered glass screen and the ceiling-mounted Dornbracht ‘Just Rain’ shower panel. For the exterior architecture of Antares, every aspect of Decq’s design was intentional – from the use of the bold red, black and white color scheme to the elegantly curved terraces which give the building its distinctive look. Rising 100 meters with 26 stories tall, Antares is the first, new construction, luxury residential tower in Barcelona. It features 88 impeccably designed residences which include 1, 2, 3 and 4-bedroom apartments, duplexes and penthouses. At the base of the building is the new public restaurant Le Grand Café Rouge from Chef Romain Fornell, which is based on Mediterranean gastronomy that revisits the classics of French cuisine in a contemporary atmosphere. Odile collaborated on the restaurant’s design with Chef Fornell, who garnered his first Michelin star at the age of 24, being the youngest chef to obtain this distinction, and has since opened 13 restaurants in Barcelona.
